It's no April Fools' Day joke. P.E.I. is under an Environment Canada special weather statement for "significant snowfall amounts in excess of 15 centimetres" Saturday.
CBC meteorologist Peter Coade says the centre of the disturbance will track across Nova Scotia during the day.
"This will place New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island on the cold [snowy] side of the track," said Coade.
Did you think Saturday's snowy forecast was an April Fool's joke?
"It looks like more snow for these two areas on Saturday before clearing Saturday evening."
In better news, Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny, says Coade, adding, "Temperatures however will remain below the normal for this time of year. Much milder weather is coming our way though."
Friday's high will be 6 C, but P.E.I. can expect rain.
