Canada's Kelsey Rocque led her women's rink to an 8-2 win over Scotland on Sunday for a second straight junior curling world title, while Winnipeg's Braden Calvert defeated defending champion Switzerland 6-3 in the men's final in Tallinn, Estonia.
The Edmonton skip, who curled 86 per cent in the match, and her rink of Danielle Schmiemann, Holly Jamieson, Jessica Iles and Kristen Streifel, took a 4-1 lead in the fourth end and never looked back.
In the bronze-medal game, Sweden scored one in the ninth and final end for a 6-5 decision over Switzerland.
Scotland took men's bronze with an 8-3 win over Sweden.
The Calvert foursome, which also includes Kyle Kurz, Lucas Van Den Bosch and Brendan Wilson, finished fourth at last year's world championship.
The Canadians lost just one game during the tournament.
