The national weather service has issued a special statement ahead of the latest system heading for the Maritimes.
According to Environment Canada, there's the potential for significant snowfall Friday as another low-pressure system moves into the region.
Currently, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador are included in the statement.
However, Environment Canada says there's "still considerable uncertainty with respect to the track and intensity of the system, but current guidance indicates a potential for significant snowfall and possibly winter storm conditions for [Nova Scotia, P.E.I. and parts of Newfoundland] on Friday."
CBC meteorologist Jim Abraham said southern New Brunswick could also see even more snow, after several storms buried that part of the province over the last few weeks.
Across northern New Brunswick, extreme cold-weather warnings continue. The frigid temperatures and wind chill will make it feel like it is –35 C on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Parts of central and northern Newfoundland also remain under extreme cold weather warnings.
