Toronto police say they have a found a three-year-old boy who wandered out of an apartment building in the frigid cold in the city's north end during the early-morning hours.
According to Toronto paramedics, the boy, Elijah, was found without vital signs just a few blocks from the apartment where he was spending the night with his grandparents.
He was rushed to hospital.

The boy's family awoke Thursday around 7:30 a.m. ET to find he was missing from their apartment on Neptune Drive in the Bathurst Street and Highway 401 area. They last saw him when they put him to bed around 9:30 p.m. ET, police said. He was wearing a T-shirt and diaper.
Toronto police said security camera footage from the building showed the boy leaving on his own at around 4:20 a.m.
Toronto is under an extreme cold warning, with temperatures expected to drop to –20 C Thursday morning, but it will feel more like –29. Police said Elijah left the apartment not dressed for the weather.
