Crews in L'Isle-Verte, Que., continue the search today for 22 people who are presumed dead after a deadly fire tore through a residence for seniors just after midnight last Thursday.
Police on Sunday confirmed the deaths of 10 people.Three victims have been formally identified by the provincial coroner's office. They are:
- Marie-Lauréat Dubé, 82.
- Louis-Philippe Roy, 89.
- Juliette Saindon, 95.
Police investigators are dealing with cold, icy conditions as they canvas what remains of la Résidence du Havre.
About five centimetres of snow are expected to fall in the village Monday. In the morning, the –14 C temperature felt like –20 C with the wind chill.

Search teams have been using steam to melt the thick layer of ice that coats the rubble.
Hundreds gathered in the community of L'Isle-Vert for a special mass Sunday to mourn the loss of lives, with Premier Pauline Marois among those in attendance.
A more official memorial service is planned for next weekend.
Some media outlets have quoted staff members of the home for seniors as suggesting a lit cigarette ignited the blaze, but police say there are other possibilities.
